Record fencing bouts with real-time scoring overlays
Fencing Camera is an iOS app for recording fencing bouts. It overlays live scores and period information on the camera preview while you record, but keeps the saved video clean — metadata stays separate, so you can review your bouts with score timelines that scrub alongside the footage.

Videos are saved to your iPhone's Photos Library. You can find them in the main Photos app, and they're also accessible from inside Fencing Camera's library view with their score timelines attached.
No. The overlays you see during recording are UI elements drawn on top of the camera preview. The video files saved to your Photos Library are completely clean. Score data is stored separately, so you can replay with overlays inside the app.
Camera and microphone access are needed to record the bout video and audio. Photo library access is needed to save the recordings and to play them back inside the app with synced score overlays.
Yes. From the library, long-press any bout to access editing options: change fencer names, tournament info, weapon, format, or edit the full score timeline.
Recording is locked to landscape orientation so the camera framing matches the typical viewing angle of a fencing strip. The library and editing screens work in either orientation.
The bout's metadata stays in the app, but the video link will become invalid. The library will show the bout with a "video not found" indicator. To avoid this, manage your bout videos through the Fencing Camera library rather than deleting them directly from Photos.
Fencing Camera requires iOS 18 or later and is designed for iPhone.
Fencing Camera does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All bout recordings, scores, and metadata stay on your device. The app does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
Permissions requested (camera, microphone, photo library) are used only for the features they enable — recording and saving bout videos.
